Missional Curacy Program

Andrew Beluk, 2023-2025 Curate

Andrew is the Carol Long Missions & Evangelism Curate for St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral. He was born, by God’s grace, into a faithful Christian family in Pittsburgh, PA. He eventually followed God’s calling on his life to attend seminary, and graduated from Trinity School for Ministry in January 2023. There, he not only earned his Master of Divinity degree, but also met and fell in love with his perfect wife, Rebecca. The two Beluks moved to Tallahassee to begin Andrew’s curacy at St. Peter’s, and in July welcomed their greatest blessing from God: their first son, Eijah.

He is passionate about sharing Jesus’ greatness and glory, and studying theology, liturgics, and Church history to learn about more ways to do so. In his free time, he enjoys astronomy, hiking, ancient mythologies, singing, and spending any time he can with his family.

Program Description: The Carol Long Missional Curacy was created in 2022 to honor the work of Carol Long who was instrumental in the creation of the Charles Simeon Institute. The purpose of this two-year program is to give a recent seminary graduate experience in the areas of missions and outreach as well as church planting in a mentored setting. Those admitted to the program will be given significant ministry experience under supervision.

Areas of Involvement and Learning: The Missional Curate will work under the direct supervision of the Canon for Missions and Evangelism to develop partnerships with appropriate churches and organizations and to develop a leadership pipeline for these partnerships. In the course of this work, the Missional Curate will also be assigned some pastoral and liturgical responsibilities within the life of the cathedral. The Missional Curate will also have the opportunity for an immersive and mentored experience in church planting.

The Curacy is currently filled until January 5, 2025. Applications for the 2025 Curacy will be received beginning on September 1, 2024. The starting date is flexible.
